I promise to write a real, writerly-like post before I leave for Chautauqua. But today, this is how I procrastinate.
Try this. It's fun! I Write Like...
So far I write like:
James Joyce
Ian Fleming
Ray Bradbury
Chuck Palahniuk
Stephen King
Be sure to share who YOU write like!
Keep writing,
Nora

OMGoodness, it's almost time for your Chautauqua experience! You are going to have such a wonderful time. A word of advice printing anything off at the "computer center" is a serious challenge! You will be bringing books home with you, so make sure you have room in your luggage. The bookstore is WONDERFUL! The name tags indicate what each person is: attendee, author/editor/publisher, Highlight's employee, spouse of one of the above. The cool thing is the faculty is supposed to sit with different people at each meal/event. You'll meet some wonderful helpful people. Don't be nervous. You're about to have the time of your life!
Thanks Sharon - I am so excited, and I'm looking forward to the week. My mentor and manuscript critique person is Donna Jo Napoli. She is meeting with us Saturday after the opening dinner to give us her initial comments on our manuscripts. Sunday looks like it's mostly a social day, and Monday we jump right into the workshops. Can't wait!
Apparently I write like James Joyce (2 excerpts) and Vladimir Nabokov (1 excerpt)! It is a very fun way to waste time, isn't it? Have fun at Chautauqua!
Ruth - Shame on writers who share with other writers addictive ways to procrastinate... *hangs head*
Thanks for visiting my blog!
