Whatever made me think I could keep up the NaNoWriMo pace with three nights of parent/teacher conferences, 25 WEPs (written education plans) and goals due, and preparations for directing an early Christmas Cantata???

I didn't even try. You're better than me for attempting the goal.
Maybe next year for me...
It's not too late to catch up. No one said you had to write each and everyday -- just throughout the month, right? Good luck!
Thanks, you two. I've decided that my personal goal is to write every day, as much as my day allows. Even if I top out at 20,000 instead of 50,000, it means I'm on my way to setting a solid writing routine - one that will help me reach my ultimate goal of publishing a novel, and then another, and another...(grin).
The idea of NaNo is to just get your butt in the chair and write...the 50,000 word count is just for fun...fun? grin...
I'm a little behind also, but weekends are my best time to catch up, so I'm hoping to do so this weekend...Like you, I'm just trying to write something every day and if I make the fun 50, then I'll be happy...but I know if I write every day, I will be thrilled!
Your doing great with your word count...keep up the great work...Hugs...
Right there with ya. :) My writing days have been sporadic at best, and all these little, ridiculous things keep getting in the way.
Ah well, writing every day still means I'm writing, and I think that's what really counts. :)
Thanks, All - I certainly appreciate the support!
