Wow. It's Thursday. What happened to the week?
I've had my eyes glued to the computer screen for days as I revise, revise, revise. A task, I might add, I'm finding I enjoy. It's very different from the creative process. Delete an adverb, fix a transition, strengthen a plot point, delete another adverb... all spit-n-polish.
My family has been great. They've left me to work in peace, mostly. The question asked most often? "We ARE having dinner - right, Mom?" I'm on a revision roll so dinner tonight is pizza - delivered, of course. At least I remembered...

I've been revising (a poetry collection) too today! I so don't like figuring dinner out each night, so pizza night sounds awesome!
I am also wandering around Revisionlad....though I did actually whip up some fajitas for dinner. I felt I should do the cooking since I invited a few people over.
Good luck with your revisions, Nora!
Kelly - Pizza was good. I need to get up and move, though. I'm growing roots to this chair.
Angela - Whipped up some fajitas? I'm impressed!
Thanks, Rena!
The pizza-delivery person can be a writer's best friend!
You keep revising...
Kim - He knows us by name. Not sure if that's a good thing!
I'm right there with ya! I think I may have forgotten how to cook. Shame. Our fave Italian restaurant is at the end of our neighborhood. They have everything ready in 15 - 20 minutes. YIKES!
(I sometimes have the Food Network on while I'm working...does that count?)
Revising...we have a love/hate relationship. Well, if I'm honest, mostly hate. I really have to psych myself up to do it, have to work at it. It's not the fun part for me at all.
It was fun at first...
It's good to re-read it all in a chunk. I hadn't done that for awhile. Right now I'm in a slash and burn mode. I'm plowing through pretty quickly, then I send it to a fresh pair of eyes. They are soooooo appreciated!
